Allan MacKenzie
 Allan
MacKenzie has an exceptional investment track record
with investments in oil and gas, transportation, steel
and high technology industries. Allan is also a successful
oil and gas investor with investments in E&P (Blizzard/Zenas,
Gascan Resources) and Oil Field equipment (Maloney
Steel); together with strong technology investment experience
(NeoEdge, SideStep, Teamplate, Sonic Mobility). Along
with this, Allan has also had the personal experience
in building a rapid growth company: Employee # 6 at
Quack.com, which was sold to AOL for $US 200M.
Allan holds a Bachelor of Science (Engineering)
and a Bachelor of Arts (Economics) from Stanford University,
and an MBA from Ivey Business School.
Michael J. Dost
 Michael
has been involved in a variety of businesses in the
transportation, software, and high tech fields and was
most recently Director, Venture Capital, at BDC Capital.
While at BDC, Michael focused on venture capital investments
in leading companies including Progressive Solutions,
3ESI, Netaps and Invidi. Over the past two years Michael
has invested close to $7 million with over $50 million
of co-investment in Alberta. Prior to joining BDC, Michael
was also part of the management team at AudeSi Technologies,
a high tech BDC investee company. AudeSi was sold to
Wind River for $70 million in April, 2000.
Michael holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree
from the University of Calgary and an MBA from the University
of British Columbia.
Jayne Taylor – Office Manager
 Jayne
has extensive experience in office and financial management
and, prior to joining Octane, was Business Manager with
a large local government department on the south coast
of England, where in addition to her management responsibilities
as a member of the senior management team, Jayne was
also responsible for successfully negotiating significant
private investments to improve public services, which
included the creation of a new miniature golf course
and the modernization of a large crematorium.
Jayne has a Bachelor of Marketing degree
and an MBA from Bournemouth University in England. |
